چکیده

Background . Abdominal aortic aneurysm – is a widespread disease, which in some cases does not have any specific clinical symptoms, but possible complications of this pathology are characterized by high mortality. Aortic aneurism rupture an extremely serious condition that requires emergency surgical treatment. A timely diagnosis abdominal aneurysm’s risk remains important, since the patient mortality rate up to 7 times higher when performing surgery, than planned surgery. Aim study : improve aneurysms instability creating assessing scale according computed tomography data. Materials and methods CT studies were performed 160-slice scanner included native arterial phases scanning. The MSCT data 179 patients with diagnosed retrospectively studied, 46 whom was complicated rupture. scans can reveal number structural changes aorta also surrounding tissues, be regarded as wall prediction. That stratified severity preliminary results compared treatment tactics outcome disease. Results shows minimum sufficient set predictions are: size, sickle sign, draping paraaortic fat induration, thickness parietal thrombotic masses. obtained parameters give possibility predict risks AAA prognostic represented 4-point for parameters. Depending on influence degree each parameter, it assigned points corresponding level significance. maximum factors 17 points. Finding rupture’s developed.

Biomechanical prediction of abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture risk: Sensitivity analysis

Objectives: The purpose of this research is to determine the quantitative relationship between the peak wall stress of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and its clinical risk factors including its maximum diameter, asymmetry index, wall thickness and abnormal high blood pressure. Methods: The response surface experimental design with one response and four variables was used to design the experime...

Abdominal aortic aneurysm and risk of rupture.

370 residents of Rochester, Minnesota, with clinicallyrecognized unruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), were identified through record review. The rolling entry period was 1951-1984. Of these 181 had at least one documenting ultrasound. Five persons had rupture of the aneurysm within 48 hours of the ultrasound exam, and were excluded from the study. The study group consisted of the remaini...

Rupture of abdominal aortic aneurysm between early and late phases of enhanced computed tomography

Ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (RAAA) is fatal in >80% of cases, and mortality is as high as 42% of those who survive RAAA and undergo surgery (42%). Sensitivity and specificity of computed tomography (CT) for the diagnosis of RAAA are reportedly not 100% but range from 50% to 94% and 77% to 100%, respectively. However, CT is still essential to verify anatomical details. A 90-year-old woman...

Prediction of outcome after abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture.

BACKGROUND Most vascular surgeons practice a selective policy of operative intervention for patients with ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). The evidence on which to justify operative selection remains uncertain. This review examines the prediction of outcome after attempted open repair of ruptured AAA. METHODS The Medline and EMBASE databases and Cochrane Database of Systematic Review...

Measuring of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm with Three-Dimensional Computed Tomography Reconstruction before Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair

PURPOSE Conventional computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard method for case planning for endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR). However, aortography with a marking catheter is needed for measuring the actual length of an aneurysm. With advances in imaging technology, a 3-dimensional (3D) workstation can obviate the need for the aortography. The objective of this study was to determi...
